Puppy

Congratulations on your new puppy! The first 4 months are often the most critical in the life of a dog, puppy wellness visits are designed to help get your puppy started on their healthy life journey. Many devastating diseases strike early, therefore preventative medicine is essential. It is strongly recommended to initiate a vaccine program by 8 weeks of age, earlier if the mother is not current on vaccines. We can give the support and tools necessary to help your puppy grow into a healthy dog, including information and advice on vaccines, prevention, nutrition, insurance, training, behavior, and socialization.

Until your puppy has received a series of vaccines, he or she is susceptible to many serious but preventable diseases. We will make sure your new dog is protected against rabies, distemper, parvovirus, lyme, leptospirosis, bordetella, and canine influenza. Maryland state law mandates current rabies vaccination, whether the animal goes outdoors or not. A fecal will need to be tested for parasites, which are extremely common in young dogs. We look forward to meeting your new puppy, schedule your appointment today!
