An ultrasound, also known as sonography, is a non- invasive and pain free diagnostic procedure to give your veterinarian the ability to examine your pet’s internal organs and other structures inside of the body. The ultrasound uses echoes or reflections of ultrasonic waves to show detailed images of the area of interest. This procedure doesn’t typically require a pet to be sedated or anesthetized.
