Preventative care is crucial in a happy and healthy life for your pet. We recommend at least one annual diagnostic and wellness checkup, which can reassure you that your pet is healthy or to help us detect hidden diseases or conditions early. During your pet’s wellness exam, a doctor will perform a thorough physical assessment from nose to tail, as well as make sure proper vaccinations and preventatives are received. During the exam diagnostic workups such as bloodwork, fecal testing, and urine testing may be recommended by your doctor to check for parasites and underlying diseases. We may also recommend that your pet receive dental care.

Many dogs and cats are good at hiding signs that something is wrong, so small changes to their behavior or health are easily overlooked and sometimes pets may show no symptoms at all.  Early detection can improve the prognosis of many diseases, keep cost down, and help your pet live longer.

Dogs and cats age quicker than humans, so it is very important for our companions to receive regular exams. As our pets get older, they’re more at risk of arthritis, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, hormone disorders, and kidney and liver problems.

You are your pet’s greatest advocate, please let us know if you notice any behavioral or physical changes in your pet or other concerns you may have. We want to work with you to achieve a happy healthy life for your pet. Call us today to schedule your pet’s exam or with any questions or concerns.
